How do i turn off just the U-verse DVR and not both DVR and TV?

Well I recently got a uVerse connection. I was curious about the remote control having just one power button which just turns off the TV. Most other providers have a DVR off and TV off button. Is there a way to turn the DVR off when not in use?

@MUforlife -RE: Is there a way to turn the DVR off when not in use?

Yes, & it is a good idea because it is using an incoming stream, that another TV or recording

may want.

Be aware that "off" is just asleep (not displaying, but still recording).

If you have the older s-10 remote the default is that the power button controls both TV & DVR. You program it to seperate the two as follows - aytt/ok -977-ENTER.

This will cause the power button to follow the mode button - While watching u-verse in att mode the power button will control the DVR. Push the TV button & it controls the TV - As do the rest of the buttons. You can use it in TV mode to watch Over the air.

If you have a newer s-20, the  default is Not to power both, Just the DVR. How to do just the TV is left unsaid. So, we will have to expect that you cannot do it.
