dvr playback on wireless receiver pauses frequently

Has anyone else had problems with playback of DVR recordings on the wireless receivers?

Playback is fine on the DVR itself, but whenever I try to watch a recording on one of the wireless receivers, the playback pauses every 30 seconds or so for about 5 seconds. 

This happens on both of the wireless receivers that we have. Tech support is blaming the receivers, but it seems odd that the same problem would spontaneously happen on two different receivers. This did not happen the last time I used either receiver within the last month or so.

I don't use the wireless receivers very often, but it seems that when I do decide to use one of them, I spend hours with tech support trying to get it working. Is there another way to watch DVR recordings without having to depend on a wireless receiver?
