Big Red X
I have been experiencing many problems with my U-Verse system:
- Recordings that stop playing in the middle of a show, even though the timeline bar shows there is more to play back.
- I have to Rewind, then Fast Forward past the sticking point and then Play from there
- I have to Rewind, then Fast Forward past the sticking point and then Play from there
- The signal from the DVR appears on that TV as very pixelated and requires a re-boot
- Other receivers display error messages that the DVR is unavailable and will not show the Recordings List
- I have completed:
- 10-second Power button re-boots
- Non-destructive re-set
- Destructive re-set
- I experienced the Big Red X this evening
I'm guessing this DVR needs to be replaced. How do we make that happen?

Since you did all those troubleshooting steps call tech support and ask for a replacement (800-288-2020). Since you did a destructive reset you got noting to lose anyhow. Note that even doing that you don't lose your recording scheduling.
