ATT Credit pull.
I wanted to order ATT service over the phone and asked the representative at least two times if there would be a credit pull from my credit report. Both times she replied 'no'. I checked my credit report and there is a credit pull from ATT.
I specifically asked the representative, 'You're not going to do a hard credit check for this are you?' She replied, "No, we don't. We only do this through ATT" I replied, 'I am okay with ordering ATT as long as it doesn't show up on my credit report". She went on to say,
"This is only kept confidential here. We only do credit checks within ATT companies only. We do not do credit checks out side of ATT".
I now have this on my credit report.

Equifax - Inquiry
An inquiry was made by AT & T SERVICES INC for your credit file.
From the beginning to the end I have this conversation recorded. Whether or not it impacts my credit is not the issue. What can I do to have this removed?
