Wireless TV receivers

Is there a model offered by AT&T that is better performing than all other models they supply?

Also, i notice that the Cisco model puts out much more heat than other models (when the TV is on or off).

Do you experiece this?

For the Uverse Wireless receivers, there are currently (4) models that I am aware...

The standard model for 2 or less wifi set top receivers is the 7005, 20W power supply.

Works with all WAPS including 401, 501 and 2500.

If have more than 2 wireless receivers, options are the 7105 or the 2500... known as 2nd gen receivers, requires either the 501 WAP or 2500 WAP.

The newest, thus more limited experience, is the 2502.

All the units use WINDOWS CE operating software with updates as pushed out.

The power supplies are not interchangeable among the models with different watts (VAs) and connectors.

From my experience, a working unit is desired not the model of the unit unless this is the 3rd, 4th or 5th wireless receiver in the system... these have to be 2nd gen units. Mix/match is ok.
