wired DVR cannot access recordings

AT&T Uverse

VIP2250 DVR

Press 'Recordings' and get message ''Cannot access recordings. Make sure receiver is connected to internet'.

First tried going thru remote control HELP, choosing Troubleshooting/Resolve. Then TV, DVR, Error message. Chose ''System Unavailable' bc that was closest match to my problem. It rebooted DVR receiver but that didn't fix problem.

Then I rebooted gateway and receiver, but still not able to get to my recordings.

When I press red Record button while watching a show, it says ''recording" at top of screen. But cannot get into my recordings. I suspect maybe DVR is full but regardless... I still cannot get in, to watch or delete any recordings. Please help. Do I need new DVR receiver altogether?

Hi @smithncapex,

We want to help you get back into your DVR recordings. Follow the steps on our restore your U-verse DVR without deleting your programs article. Since you tried to reboot already, you will want to skip down to the recovery process. This process can take some time, so you may want to do it when you know you won't be using your TV.
