The other day I unplugged my receiver to clean off the dresser it sat on. However, when I plugged it back in, it told me that u-verse wasn’t available. then I pressed the power button for ten seconds, it still did not work. afterwards, I unplugged it for ten seconds and still didn’t work. the same thing came on the screen. so, I did the disaster recovery and the gear would show up but the white bar would not move at all and then a red x would pop up on the screen. I have done this a few times and its still doing the same thing.

Try rebooting the gateway (pull plug for 15 secs. and let it fully reboot), then the dvr (pull plug for 15 secs.), and then the receiver in that order and see what happens.
