Fire tv cube cannot turn on/ off unversed box

I cannot get my amazon fire tv cube to turn on/ off the ATT Uverse cable DVR box. The fire Tv cube will change channels on command though, so it does communicate with the box.

Hi @Bojengo,

have you added the receiver in your "equipment Control settings? You may need to delete and re add the receiver. Let us know if this resolves the issue.

Hello @Bojengo, let’s see what we can do.

Did this issue start recently or has it also been ongoing?

We have a troubleshooting post that may have some relevance to fixing your issue as well.

In response to whether this occurred right away, the answer is yes. The Fire TV Cube is able to turn on the TV but does not turn on or off the Uverse cable box. The Uverse box must be separately turned on via standard remote and once turned on, can then be controlled (turn to different stations) via Fire TV Cube. When turning off TV, the Cube can only turn TV off but cannot turn off Uverse box.

It is my understanding that other cable or satellite boxes can be turned on/off by TV Cube but not Uverse box, which is odd. Any insight is welcomed.

I'm having the same problem with the Fire Cube not completely turning on the AT&T Cable box.

Does anyone from AT&T have a REAL answer to the above questions. I'm having the same problem.
