BIG RED X

My converter box/DVR is out.  Tried re-setting, it's just locked up.  Tried re-booting modem, no help.  Blue, green, red lights on front, big red X on screen.  Any suggestions?  Also, if I have to get a new box is there any way to save my DVR recordings from the old box?  Thanks.  Any help appreciated.

DVRs die.  Call CS for a self-install new one.  Don't forget to send the old one back (within 21 days).  No, there is no way to transfer recordings.

Thanks a bunch.  That's what I thought.  Is there any way to back up new DVR recordings in case my new DVR dies?

No sorry.  There is no way to transfer recordings to a different DVR.

I am new customer and having the  RED X issue on one TV. I have re-booted and un-plugged and re-plugged and still, there is a RED X on the TV screen. Do I need a new box?
