What's next?
OK. How much worse will it get. Uverse awarded us a free movie, well, sort of. We would have had to pay for it, and get reimbursed somewhere down the line. NOT GOOD!!!
Can't remember the times they never told us about free premium channels. Happened to accidently come across them. NOT GOOD!!!
Now, they did send a message saying free premium channels for the Sept 5-7 weekend. This is almost as bad as the free stuff during last Thanksgiving. This weekend is the first NFL weekend. Last Thanksgiving was also chocked full of football. Their scheduling people are clueless. NOT GOOD!!!
This post so far doesn't mention hardware issues. We had nothing but pure *&^% getting the install to work. Finally, after multiple service calls, a tech found the problem. Unbelievable. Then, the semi-refurbished equipment they put in your homes. Had the wireless die on one. Was sent a replacement head-in that was dead. Again, unbelievable.
Well, like the current commercials, people prefer Uverse over cable. The reason is that cable is sooooooo terrible. Also, it's like saying we came in number 1......out of 2.
When will they fix their favorites. Have to delete channels to make an easily accessed favorites. Haven't they ever experienced the way Dish does favorites??? And the problem with altering the guide to fit your preferences is they keep adding worthless channels that litter the guide.
I really find it hard to believe that they could do any worse to aggravate their customers. Maybe that's why they have to spend so much on advertising.

Have you ever thought that maybe, just maybe, not EVERYONE CARES ABOUT FOOTBALL????? There are many of us that pretty much just tolerate the football season.
Yeah, yeah, our husbands/boyfriends are thrilled but there are those of us who are actually TRYING to find something else on TV to watch "in the other room".
And here's your Tip Of The Day: You can DVR HBO movies during the free weekend. *eyerolls*

@oneatwitsend - wow, there is a lot in your post! However, much of it is accurate!
Free previews. Yes, AT&T is a communication company but they hardly ever communicate about those previews. I have seen a promo for a free preview, when it was in its last hour. The biggest free preview is Thanksgiving weekend, where you can get anything ion U-450 for free. For 4 days, record away. Epix was just added. Over on Time Warner they had a 3 month free preview. AT&T's free preview was 3 days. 😉
Free movie promotions: Yeah, I sure wish free was free, also! You get a free promo, watch it, you pay for it and hope that you get the charge credited in 60 days. That's not free, that might be "free after rebate." Smh. On a side note, if you know anything about Android smartphones, then you know about their "Play Store" for apps. Google has not been able to figure out how to discount apps or have give aways. Amazon has their Amazon App store where they have figured out how to have giveaways and discounts. AT&T needs to learn from Amazon.
Favorites - never used them, so no info there. Sorry.

Wow, you missed the point entirely. Yes, I have recorded shows in the past. Yes, everyone in our family likes to watch football. Yes, there are many that hate football. But that wasn't the point. Now, here's your tip of the day - find yourself a techie male to get you Netflix, or Hulu Plus, or even free Hulu to watch "in the other room". You will be able to find all kinds of non-football things to watch. Or, try Redbox. [Please keep it courteous]
