Watch ESPN App Issue - "User Not Authorized" Error

I'm a U-200 subscriber, I get all of the ESPN channels on u-verse.  I recently moved to Kansas City from Chicago, and since the move I haven't been able to access Watch ESPN online.  I've tried from my laptop, phone and two different tablets.  I just get the User Not Authorized error.  Does anyone know how to fix this?  I don't have time to spend an hour on hold waiting for tech support.

@dodgebruce  Click the ATT Uverse Care link in my signature below, send the PM, explain your situation.

 

Include your name, account #, email address and a good phone # (land or cell) and time to contact you on.

Check the blue PM envelope, upper right on every page, for their reply. Good luck 😉

I'm having this same problem. I sent a PM to ATTU-verseCare last night, but haven't heard anything back. I wonder how hard it is to get someone on the phone to sync the databases?

I'm not sure what the fix was, but after someone else replied that the databases had been synched up, it started working for me again and I haven't had an issue since.  You might try posting your own question on this forum, AT&T will likely contact you directly.

This App has always worked for me but now when I click on it it says "you are not authorized to play this content.  Please contact your provider"  I'm also not able to play anything off the BTN2Go App and the Fox Sports Go App....haven't been able to figure out why as all of these apps used to work just fine for me.  I"m logged in with my U-Verse account on all of these Apps.  Any help would be appreciated

I recently moved addressed but kept my U200 account. When I try to watch a game on this app it tells me that I am unauthorized and should contact my provider.

I'm having the same issue and a tech told me that AT&T is having a problem with all of the 3rd party apps (Watch ESPN, HBO2Go, BTN2GO, etc)  Their engineers are working on the issue but there's no timetable on when it might be fixed

Anyone having this issue with third-party video authorization (where you are a U-verse TV subscriber, and have the associated channel in your normal TV package):

 

Please click this AT&T logoU-verse Customer Service link to send a Private Message (PM) to the AT&T customer service team to help you resolve your issue with account authentication. You can expect a reply via return PM (the blue envelope envelope  in the upper right hand corner of this site, next to your name and avatar) in a business day or three.

This is a group of U-verse service specialists who are knowledgeable about U-verse and will stay with your problem until the end (instead of forgetting about it when the phone hits the cradle). Speed things up by including your Billing Account Number, and the best time and way to reach you.

I am having the same exact problem and am assuming that my account is out of sync. I am unable to send a private message to the ATT Uverse staff with the provided link above in both Safari and Chrome (the message just sits there loading after you click send). Very frustrating!
