"User not authorized error" in tv apps

I had this problem a year or so ago in my HBOgo app and I finally gave up and deleted it. Now I'm hooked on this ridiculous Hallmark show and i downloaded the app. I'm getting the same message. User not authorized. I have u verse 450 and I have the hallmark channel on my tv. I found similar threads about the ESPN app with no real answers. Getting message on my iPhone 6 and iPad. Both have the latest iOS. Please help!

Hi @Chelsey6122,

 

Sorry to read of the trouble you are having logging into the app. Are you using the att.net account to login? It is the same one you use to log into your U-verse account.

Yes I am. It is accepting my log in and when I click to play an episode it gives me the user not authorized error.

have you tried using uverse app, try that and use the same log in, most of the 3rd party apps does not authorized att log in.
