Hello @mmazmm!

Being unable to schedule your DVR is certainly inconvenient. I am happy to help!

I'm bloody furious!  We have a house full of geeks, and we all have computers connected to big monitors.  That includes our main home theater with 102" projector, 7.1 surround sound, and lazy boy recliners with bass kickers.  We just signed up for Uverse a couple of days ago and it was installed today.  WE MADE IT VERY VERY CLEAR THAT WE INTENDED TO WATCH UVERSE ON OUR COMPUTERS!  The installer just left a couple of hours ago.  Now come to find out it won't work?!?!?!?!  Why the heck would I want to watch TV on a 4" screen I have to hold up to my face with my hand, when I could (in theory) kick back in a recliner and watch it on giant projection screen?  Every other TV provider (Comcast, DirectTV, Dish, Time-Warner, ...) allows you to watch on a computer.  But not UVerse - What The $#@&?(expletive)  I'll be calling AT&T in the morning to tell them where they can stick their new equipment they just installed.

I commiserate.

This all happened in October/Nov. THey gave us loyal customers 30 days without REALLY telling us clearly what would happen. I spent nearly a week trying to get the movie/tv menu back to watch again on my computer because I couldn't believe I would not be able to view TV on my computer AND have to PAY the same amount as I had been paying for years X!X!@#!@#&$!!!!! I live in a condo so even if I wanted to I cannot have Direct TV. I don't want to. I can get some TV, news, local stuff....I will have to go back to Comcast. EXTREMELY UPSET, FRUSTRATED. How can they get away with charging the same after they take away a part of one's service?

To all AT&T customer care personnel, decision-makers, and anyone who truly cares about the customers,

Please do us all a favor and actually read what we are saying , in these forums and get the message to all your decision makers.  I will put it as simply as I can in case there was any confusion.

There are many subscribers who relied on the ability to watch U-Verse programming via their computers, NOT a mobile device, for various reasons.  Many of us who travel encountered this right away.  We are not pleased!  Your "business decision" to remove the web access to programming/recordings had a significant negative impact on a large number of your customer base and you risk losing many of us to your competitors.

You keep professing a dedication to enhancing the customer experience, yet you take away a very useful and used aspect of our service.  Please explain how that makes sense, because I just do not see the logic.  Again, you need to read all the comments on this topic to truly appreciate the effects on the customer.

Also, stop replying with the same canned answers.  We all know about the ability to watch U-Verse on mobile devices.  Bottom line: We do not want to be forced to watch something on a tiny screen.

Very well said.  Although, like with all the other comments, yours too will fall on deaf ears.

Well said. Unfortunately the only way to be heard now, is to switch carriers. It has been too long that we to be held hostage, paying for a service that was taken from us. As another comment falls on deaf ears.

It is absurd they took away the ability to stream over laptop. I' a very angry customer. I don't have or want a tablet and don't watch shows on my phone. I'm going to switch back to Xfinity.

It would seem they'd rather sell AT&T Unlimited subscriptions for streaming than allow streaming from a web page, or for some reason allow setting's one DVR via a web page.  I understand it's a business move, but if it angers a lot of customers and loses you business, is it a good move?  I don't care so much for the streaming, but I did use the DVR functionality regularly.  Port the UVerse Android app over the Windows 10, or a least put the DVR management features back up on a website.  People with *any* version of Windows will appreciate that.  We don't all have tablets, after all, or want to watch movies on our phones, which, guess what, might not be Apple or Android (You DO remember happily selling me 3 different Windows phones, don't you AT&T?)

As much as it pains my, I've been looking at Xfinity.  I'm not going to DirectV as it seems like a downgrade in terms of reliability.  Several friends have it, and report a lot of weather-related issues.  To be fair, Dish Network users tell me the same thing.  My UVerse has only gone out once in 7 years due to weather, and that was a direct lightning strike that took out the gateway.
