ESPN on U-verse Firestick App
When trying to watch ESPN through the U-verse tv app on my Amazon firestick, I am presented with the “ESPN playback authorization failed. Please Try again ES1004:403” message. Additionally, when I try log into the ESPN app using my U-verse credentials, the app says that the channel is not part of our subscription when it clearly is. Any help would be appreciated!

If you can:
then your next step will be to call AT&T (800-288-2020) to see if they can clear this up. Sometimes accounts get in strange states where authentication doesn't work properly for the online apps.

We're happy to help get ESPN working again for you @Aboehne.
As JeffersMC mentioned, verify the channel comes in normally on your Uverse TV set-top box first so you can be sure it's not an issue with your TV package.
Sometimes the apps can get out of sync causing them to "think" you don't subscribe to a channel when you really do. Try Resetting your Account Password on att.com. The reset process will also serve to re-sync the account.
Here are some other suggestions if the above does not fix it:
Please let us know if this helped!

@ATTHelp , I reset our account password but there was no luck with that. I also tried all of the other steps, but to no avail. My only hope is to call the support number. Hope they are able to help! Thanks for your help though!
