Temporary move

Hi,

I have Uverse tv, internet and home phone.  I have to temporarily move for 4-5months. My equipment will not be able to stay connected to power during the move.  What are my options?

Thank you

Hi, shammie1! You are in luck. We would love to point you in the right direction to get your question answered.

We have an option about putting your service on Vacation Hold. You can find out more information about Vacation Holds, and how to request one, and how to reactivate once your hold is complete, please use the aforementioned article.

To get you started, here are some of the requirements:

  • Account in good standing
  • Active service for at least 30 days
  • Start date between 10 and 30 days from the day you request the hold
  • Restoration of service between 60 and 270 days from the start date

You can put your service on Vacation Hold twice within a 12-month period. The minimum time you can suspend service is 2 months and the maximum is 9 months. The timeframe and requirements vary by state.

If there is anything else that we can do for you, please reach back out here and we will help start the process.

Thank you for using the AT&T Community Forums.

Thanks for the help.  What about service at the temporary place, would I need to establish new service?

We're happy to answer your questions, @shammie1.

You can move your current service to the new address or sign up for new service. If you chose to sign up for new service, you will have to cancel that after the 4-5 month period and reactivate your old service. Let us know if your have any other questions or concerns.

Thank you for contacting the AT&T Community Forums Team.
