Streaming ESPN+ on iphone or ipad
We paid for an ESPN+ Subscription so we could stream SEC ballgames and watch on demand archived past games on our iphones or ipad. We have U-verse cable TV 300 with SEC Network and ESPN. In the past we bought ESPN+ and could watch SEC games on our phone or ipad. We are not able to open or use ESPN+. We get an ERROR that says something like"....not authorized. contract provider." We have spent about 10 hours total talking to U-verse support, Apple Support, ESPN+ support. How do we make this work? What is the problem?

We have U-verse 300 and have the SEC network on our TV. We also paid for an ESPN+ Subscription. The issue is we can not stream the SEC Network on phones or ipad or go into On Demand for SEC. We try ESPN+ under our U-verse and the U-verse log in and password. All this sub account back up stuff is too complicated and time consuming for us.....we have spent way too much time and emotional frustration on this especially considering how much we pay each month! IF there is no easy solution we will switch to Infinity especially since AT&T thinks it is no big deal for me to take off work for them to install Fiber or give them my Sat to do it. They should discount the bill for that time installing Fiber. They are way way more concerned with Fiber than fixing the service they promised to give us. We need to be able to watch SEC on the road on an iphone.

Fine. It would take 10 minutes, but if that's how you feel, that's up to you. Good luck.

I am having a similar issue. I am trying to login to espn with my userid and password. It allows me to log on but as soon as I try to watch it says "You are not authorized to watch this content. Please contact your provider." Again I wanted to reiterate, I'm not using ESPN plus just regular espn. And I do currently have ESPN on my package. Has there been any updates?

Charles, did you just ask a customer to post personal information (i.e. the ID they're using to log in) on a public thread?
Surely not. Surely you do know better than that.
@armaniedwards21 please do not post personal information in this thread except a reply to a post marked Private (it will have the word Private in a colored background at the top of the post/comment header).

We can stream ESPN+ but NOT THE SEC NETWORK SPECIFICALLY THE RAZORBACKS. If U-verse is NO LONGER STREAMING THE SEC then we want to cancel the extra cost of ESPN+. NO ONE AT AT&T or U-VERSE will give us a straight answer. Last year we could stream the SEC Network through ESPN+ on our phone and ipad through U-verse cable. SEC Network is on our U-verse cable. We always get the error "You are not authorized to watch this content. Please contact your provider." Or provider has been no help!

This statement is nonsensical. (a) ESPN+ and (b) the SEC Network coverage provided by your AT&T U-verse TV subscription may give you a little of the same content, but they are essentially TWO. DIFFERENT. THINGS. One does not have to pay ESPN for ESPN+ to watch SEC Network coverage if you have AT&T U-verse TV (assuming it's working correctly). An ESPN+ subscription will not give you most of what you can access from the SEC Network access (though it may give you a game/event here or there).
Please quit mixing ESPN+ subscription up with SEC Network access.

There is no need to be rude. Last year we streamed the SEC on ESPN+ through U-verse. It always asks for our U-verse ID and Log in. If that no longer works we need to find out what to do. Can we stream SEC through the U-verse app on our iphone and ipad? Should we subscribe to SEC+?

What you are taking as rudeness is only my exasperation at your lack of comprehension.
No, ma'am, you did no such thing. You do not do anything ESPN+ via U-verse. I do not understand why you cannot (or will not) see that you are repeatedly making misstatements.
Last year you may have watched SEC games on the ESPN app using your U-verse account as authentication for same. Again, this had nothing to do with ESPN+. ESPN+ is a subscription that authorizes viewing of certain programming on the ESPN app. You may also be authenticated on the ESPN app to watch certain programming by using a Video provider login, such as your AT&T U-verse login. This marks the sixth time in this thread someone has made this point (some very brief, some long winded like this one). Maybe this time it will sink in.
There are ongoing issues with AT&T's mobile authentication platform. I would suggest, if you have not already (I cannot remember at this point... oh wait, you said it was too much trouble), create a subaccount and try to authenticate to ESPN using the subaccount e-mail.

I reposted my question because the link expired to Direct Message with ATT Help Donavan. I do not want any comments from JefferMC. Would the AT%T employee, Donovan, who sent the link for a DM send me a new link please so I can discuss the issue with him. I want to discuss by Direct Message my issue if ATT Help will send the link....
