how to reach the fraud department. been on hold for 45 min already.

can't reach the fraud dept. reviewed my credit report and found that at&t claims i owe them money on an account. i am disputing this claim as i have been a victim of identity fraud for the last 7 years and each yr i send alerts to the reporting agencies to make sure soemone doesn't attempt to open an account, get a loan, rent a home, etc. with my name. also what appeared was an address out of state which is not mine. i need help and better service.

At&t definitely does run a credit check when a new account is opened. Seems to me someone in the credit reporting agency isn’t doing their job. I know they run it because I have my credit locked and when I went to add a phone they said I couldn’t because it had a lock on it. So after 3 days it was unlocked and I could return and add a line and a phone
