Ending cable tv

My bill for cable tv and WiFi has doubled in the last few months. I am no longer wanting cable tv if I cost 169$ a month for both of those. I’m not sure why the bill went up an extra 100$ it seemed like. I live in Maize, KS. Please contact me back as soon as you can. Thank you, Taylor Moyer

The answers will be on your billing details. The only way you could have such a large increase would be due to promotional offers expiring.

This is EXACTLY what happened to us out here in Fresno, CA as well. (Edited per community guidelines) is going on? You wait until a freaking pandemic, uncertainty about our tomorrows and that is when you choose to (Edited per community guidelines) us on our bill? This is some weak (Edited per community guidelines) (Edited per community guidelines).In the last few months my bill (Edited per community guidelines) near tripled. WHY????? My services DID NOT changes, my internet DID NOT get faster.

The U-Verse bill has one regular price increase per year. It's typically about $4-5/mo for TV service and at the beginning of the year.

 

This is why I always recommend using some sort of system (phone calendar or Post-It Note by the TV) to remind customers to call back in a day or two before the discounts expire. AT&T, like many other companies, won't remind customers. The only time free previews automatically end are when they get applied to all customers, such as the "Pandemic Preview" earlier this year or the annual Thanksgiving preview, which used to be U-450 but now seems to just be some of the movie channels.

 

You're certainly welcome to call back for another promotion. I've been calling in once or twice a year for 10+ years now. When you do, write down the date to call back so you won't get another rude surprise.
