Double Billed and now getting a bill for "canceled contract" HELP!
Opened an account for my new business in October 2014. After receiving 2 bills in the same month, one at my home address (where I wanted all bills to come) and one at my place of business, I contacted at&t customer service. I stated to customer service that I was getting double billed or billed for an account that was not active. Customer service told me that it was a mistake and they would gladly cancel the extra account. All was great until I received a bill stating that I have canceled my contract and I owe $415.00. I then called customer service again explaining that I am not paying for an account (that was not on and was NEVER turned on), 2 hours and 43 minutes later, customer service said that it was a canceled contract and I owe the money. But I did not cancel the contact for the service that I have, I just canceled the 2 billing accounts. I did not sign up for 2 accounts at the same location! This is starting to feel like I have been scamed by at&t. Can anyone point me in a direction that can help? Thanks
