Charged for "free" VOD Movie
For those who got the e-mail for a free VOD movie, were you charged the full price on your bill?
I got charged $5.94 for a $6.00 movie. It also says (credit applied to bill). It's as if the person who programmed the credits only credited each account $0.06 instead of $6.00. How inept.
I am calling Billing first thing in the morning. Dumb that they open at 8AM when there are reps on the east coast that are already working.

The e-mail giving you the free code (I've actually gotten two different ones in the past fortnight) has fine print at the bottom saying that a tiny (1%) discount will be applied when you enter the code, but that a full credit will appear within the next two billing cycles. I'll blow it up for you... this is from my e-mail:
*Complimentary U-verse Movie: Good for one U-verse Movie title for $6 or less. $6 bill credit will be applied within 2 billing cycles. Credit will initially appear as a 1% discount on your onscreen purchase history; full $6 credit will appear later on your bill. Existing residential customers only. Offer expires 11/28/2011.
The first time they gave out a free movie code like this (back in June, I believe), one forum poster replied that he still hadn't gotten the promised credit after two bills.

That is what I suggest you do. More than likely they will credit the correct amount to your account.

I checked my bill after I watched the "free" movie, and my account was credited correctly. Its a good thing you check your account statements. The way things are now, some people either make mistakes, are not paying attention, or don't care when they are handling customers accounts.

I used the free movie code in Sept. and it was 3 months before I got the credit. I had no problem waiting for the credit after all it was only 6.00 and I am a busy person and do not have the time to keep calling about 6.00. If I did not get the credit I will just say o well and won't use the free movie codes again. I do not kown where you get this spare time to sit on the phone for 6.00.
