Can't log into U-verse mobile app

I can no longer log into the U-verse mobile app on either my iPhone nor iPad. I've been logged in for about a week but today I logged out and couldn't log back in after re-installing the app on both my iPhone and my iPad. I was trying to solve other app issues and deleting and then re-installing the app sometimes solves some of these issues. Anyway, now when I try to log back in I keep getting the error:

"Login Error

sendRequest - GetUserDetails:

AppToken not set for request."

Can you please fix this problem so I can log back in? I use the U-verse app many times daily so it's one of my most important apps.

Here is some useful information on how to troubleshoot the U-verse app not working. Scroll down to the how to fix your Mobile app from my Smartphone or Device section, and follow the steps provided. 

  1. Make sure you are using the correct member ID to sign in.
    • This should be an AT&T login, not a personal email
  2. Restart the device.
  3. Delete cache. Varies on phone, browser or device operating system.
  4. Uninstall and reinstall the app
  5. Verify you have the latest software/ operating system on your phone or tablet 
  6. Turn off other apps that may be in use
  7. Make sure you have U-verse TV service and an appropriate package – if you do not have U-verse TV, you can see if it is available by signing into your account at att.com.
  8. Reset your password – This can help sync up your account.

I'm receiving the exact same error along with "problem connecting to server". I assume it's a problem on the Uverse side?

Looks like whatever was causing the problem on the U-verse or AT&T login server side has now been corrected as I was finally able to log back in yesterday without doing anything different than what I was doing when I wasn't able to log in.

Well, I spoke too soon! Now, without even logging out first, when I try to just open the U-verse app, I get an error message that reads:

"Login Error

The certificate for this server is invalid. You might be connecting to a server that is pretending to be "udvr.asp.att.et" which could put your confidential information at risk."

It won't let me open the app and instead logs me out and when I try to log back in I get the above error message repeatedly.

What is going on with the servers at U-verse/AT&T?

We recommend using your U-verse member ID to log in instead of your access ID. This has worked for other users experiencing similar issues. To find your U-verse user ID:

  1. Go to Profile.
  2. Under Profile, your user ID is listed below the welcome message.

Thanks for the response. However, I've always used my U-verse member ID to log in and I've always been able to log in with it until now. So the problem is not with my log in credentials but there's something wrong with the U-verse/AT&T log in server.

I spoke too soon as well. I'm getting the exact same message as Gimmieshelter. I agree I've never experienced the issues we've seen over the last two days. Definitely a server problem.

I should also add that I've rebooted my device, reinstalled the app, and signed out. I'm receiving the same error on my phone.

So it looks like that we are having a log in concern on our hands, @gimmieshelter. We can help with that. 

 

First and foremost, to resolve any log in concern is, to reset the password to the account. The article listed will help with resetting your password. Please follow these simple steps: 

  1. Go to att.com/myatt.
  2. Select Forgot password?
  3. Fill out the password info.
  4. Choose security questions or temporary password and follow the prompts. If you choose a temporary password, we’ll let you know where we sent it.
  5. Create your new password.

Just a fyi, the above article is about email, but the process is the same for myAT&T account management. Please try this on a computer or laptop.
