Blackout Credit for Tegna

Does anyone know if it's too late to get the credit for the NBC (Tegna) outage? I just chatted with an agent to get the $10 credit for ABC (Cox Media) and he said he couldn't do it.

Hi @ccbgolfer,

The Community Forums are a public support option where other users, and AT&T, will try and assist with high level support needs. This means we won’t be able to look into account specific concerns.  To get the help you need for your unique issue, please review our Contact Us page, and choose the best option to reach out to us.  You can call, chat, or reach out via social media, and we can review your specific issue and provide you support.  If you feel your issue isn’t account specific, and can be answered generally, please let us know, and we’ll be happy to help”.

I actually did check on the U-verse TV support page and didn't see anything that addressed credits. As I mentioned, during my online chat, the agent said he couldn't do it. So I thought I'd just post it here. Also, it seems like a pretty general question to me. It's not really specific to my account. A yes or no will suffice.

Hi @ccbgolfer,

Thanks for reaching us.

We understand your concern with regard to a credit because of an outage. Let's get the answers you need.

To answer your question: Certainly, we can give you a credit for the days that your service was disrupted due to an outage.

However, in order to process a credit you may need more account specific support. To assist you best, we encourage you to review our Contact Us page for this account level help. We’re sorry we weren’t able to resolve your concern directly in the forums, but let us know if we can assist with anything else.

Thank you.
David, AT&T Community Specialist.

Ignore the generic posts given by @ATTHelp .  🙄

I assumed that once the the dispute was settled, it’s too late to ask for the one time credit of $10.

For future reference the website is https://www.directv.com/tvpromise/ (disregard the DirecTV in the title).   Try asking for it there.
