AT&T incorrectly, invalidly, or fraudulently placed in collections?

Much like everyone else, I was shocked to find an account in collections on my credit report. It was listed as being from "Franklin Collections". Listed as original creditor was "AT&T". The only AT&T UVERSE account I had, was paid in full + closed in early Aug 2016, (due to my relocating), so either AT&T or Franklin Coll made a HUGE error, or fraudulently/invalidly created. To further see that the damage has been done to so many others as well is very concerning.  I will definitely contact the BBB as previously suggested, as well as other government agencies, as the damage is done, and now I can only hope they are held responsible, and unable to bring such devastation to other's financial situation. Social media should also be used to raise awareness! How they could be so negligent is hard to comprehend.

How do you plan to remedy this AT&T?

Hi @Ragome,

I am sorry you are going through this. I am more than pleased to check into this for you!

I completely understand the importance of having this issue resolved since no one likes unexpected things to show up on their credit. I am going to contact you via private message to provide the best assistance with this. Please keep an eye out for it as it will show on the upper right corner of the screen.

Have a great rest of your day!

I just received a letter from Franklin Collection services too.  I have only had 1 account with AT&T and it currently has a $0.00 balance!  Thankfully it hasn't been placed on my credit report yet.  AT&T please fix this before it does show up on my credit report!
