40 dollar reconnect fee I refuse to pay
I have been going through some financial issues lately and of course cable and internet is always the last bill anyone should ever pay since it is not a necessity. Anyways I did not have the funds to pay and they turned my cable and internet off for the 2nd time in two months. I understand this is my fault for not having the money. My issue is the extremely high reconnect fee! When they turn my services off, I have to call At&t and I am the one that has to talk to tech support and I am the one that does the reconnection. I have to read to them what’s on the label on my boxes, I have to run up and down the stairs pushing this button and that button, and I am on the phone with them for as much as 2 to 3 hours sometimes. They should be paying me the reconnect fee! This time I am going to tell At&t I’m not reading you anything or doing anything. If I pay the reconnect fee, you will send someone out to reconnect my service. This one customer service rep apologized once and told me normally it would just come back on automatically but something about the area where I live and the community it doesn’t do that. Well I’m not doing it for you. My reconnect fee is 60 dollars that I will charge At&t!
