Select the program of interest (either the running one or from the program guide) and there should be a REC button showing. Select that to schedule the program to record. Note that if you do this on a currently running program, it will start recording from the point you select it, not from the beginning of the program.

I'd be surprised if they special cased people on a trial on Roku, especially if they don't on a phone. However, there is no way for me to check that (since I'm not on a trial 😃). You don't see a REC button when you bring up the detail page for a (future) program from the guide?

I don’t see a record button, I am on the free 7 day trial so maybe that is the problem. I can record from my phone but not the TV while using ROKU.
