Directv Now not working on Google Chrome

My Directv Now works just fine using Internet Explorer. However, whenever I try using it on Google Chrome I get the "Hmmm...this video is taking a bit longer to load" message and that's it ... the shows never load.  I've disabled security, unloaded extensions, etc., etc., and still nothing.  Please provide other possible solution(s).  If I am unable to get a fix to this problem by June 30, I will be cancelling my subscription to Directv Now and moving on to another streaming service.

I have no extensions added and everything is canned as installed. I have no reason to modify any programs. I am just a user just like you. I have experienced little issues with DTVN on any my devices. Sorry that you feel that way about me.

Ive been experiencing the same issue with chrome browser and chromecast for the last 5 days, yet FireTv on same network works fine. Im in IT and deal with video, streaming, snd networking all the time and cant even get it to work at eork eith 100+m up and down. Ive done all I can from the user side, even started annother thread with the key word chromecast, spent time in chat with DTV now support, even offered to run a wireshark trace snd send it to them if they would give me the filters they want applied so we dont have this huge log to look through. Yet still nothing. Tonight i even brought Google into the discussion. Its like DTV Now and further more AT&T does not care about Google product users. Reminds me of why I have stayed away from AT&T since they royally screwed me when they bought Cingular. The issue with Google products seems to only be affecting central US and I have not traced yet to see if its Dallas or Kansas where my node goes. But my bet, they have a server somewhere that has gone awol and does not play with google protocol

Thanks very much for input -- I've been researching other streaming tv options and looks like once July 1 swings around I'll be trying out Sling TV or Hulu TV.

Exactly what I was thinking. Yet still nothing from AT&T. Already tired of
moving the fire stick between my non smart tv and my smart tv. FIX THE
ISSUE. IE is going away soon and that means cant even use any computer in
the house to watch it but heck can on fire stick and my mobile devices.. if
you advertise something it needs to work properly. Usually in the morning
it will work for an hour.. today didnt even get that.

Day 6 STILL NOT FIXED!!! Just checked this morning and most channels are still not working (error 1503 or 1402 even though loads on FireTV and android app). Only channel that worked was Freeform, all others prior to it did not. I think tonight I will go channel by channel and post on here what works and doesn't. No response nor word from DTV Now, its like they are sticking their heads in the sand and hoping it goes away.

Although on occasion a moderator peeks in to look at the posts, I don't think you will get a resolution in this forum. Basically this is a customer sharing forum. Your best bet is to go to chat and talk to a support person. That is the only true means of support with DTVN. There is no phone support. I am sorry for all of the problems that customers are having with Chrome. I guess that I am a exception in that it works for me with no issues. All my devices (fire stick, apple, and ROKU) perform to my expectations.

Youre also in North Carolina which so far on this forum has not experienced this problem. You are a different path and possibly a different server which is not experiencing this problem. As far as DTV Now help chat, been there done that with this issue and its completely useless. All im getting there is a level 0 support with crap like restart, reinstall, etc and empty "were working diligently on the issue..." but no answeres, explinations, or notifications that they are acknowledging an issue. Its like they just blow smoke up our ***** and dont even care.

Yes it is pretty bad. When they do reply its a canned response with a remark to follow-up with support. Unless you just continue to hit chat continuously, I believe you will not get anywhere. It very well may be a server issue, but without some reaction from DTVN we will never know. They never share any updates or resolutions - just send you to the help topics at the best.

Just got off chat with them again and they have re-pinged the specialist. One bit of really usefull information I did get is the "Feedback" button on their pages gets noticed. I had suggested instead of posting about Roku they post that they acknowledge the Chromecast and Chrome Browser issue both via social media post and a banner on the webpage. The chat support rep said using the feedback button would be the best way to accomplish this. So lets storm them!!!! lol I know i will be clicking and submitting on every feedback button I see on their pages, apps, etc

I have had the same problem....I canceled the service but still have a free month running will I try and trouble shoot it......for the first time it worked on chrome for me yesterday for about 5 minutes....it then refused to work the rest of the day......it is now working again this morning, but I don't know for how long.....very odd. I know it is not my internet as everything else is just fine and I have a 1 gig up and down stream.

We will see if this lasts....not sure I will stick with it as it does not have dvr capability.

Really wonder if a node that deals with chrome and chromecast is just being overwhelmed. Because I can get it to work at like 3am and early in the morning but during the day.. nope.

Possibly. You would need for DTVN to respond to that (good luck). I live on the east coast and have never had a issue with it.
