Channel Guide for ABC, CBS, NBC & FOX does match Direct TV online Guide Tool

Guide Channels dont match online channel tool guide.

Example

Channel Guide on DTVN   > Online local channel tool

ABC -Baltimore WMAR     >  WJLA

CBS- Baltimore WJZ         >  WUSA

FOX - Baltimore WBFF     > WTTG

NBC - Baltimore WBAL     >  WRC

I live in the Washington, DC Metro are.  This would not be a problem if the channels actually worked, but when I select any of the above channels i get "This channel can't be streamed here.  The owner of this program doesn't allow it to be streamed to your location".  All the channels used to work but now it does not.

My Solution? Sort of but acceptable.

Original Problem > Not able to view ABC, NBC, CBS, Fox.  No local channels on Roku Devices, laptops and cell.

What was discovered was geolocation service used by DTVN has me living in Bowie, MD.  32 miles north of where i actually live.  Before DTVN upgrade I was able to watch Washington, DC (27 mile away) station on all my devices (Roku, Fire TV, laptop) after DTVN upgrade only Fire TV  local station worked, all other devices said "blah blah blah we cannot stream to your location".   Chatted with DTVN and a day later my Roku devices & laptop was back working, only with Baltimore, MD local channels (60 miles away).  Worth repeating.  Washington, DC 27 miles away.  Baltimore, MD 60 miles away.  My local stations are now Baltimore based. Crazy but I get it geolocation based on IP.  However Fire TV still wanted to stream Washington, DC station, thus I get the freaking "can't stream to your location crap.  I don't care what local stations I get (prefer Washington, DC) but if all devices stream the exact same thing, i can live with it.  Anyway, back to my Fire TV solution.

****Solution***  On Fire TV uninstall DTVN app (setting, application, DTVN, uninstall).  Restart Fire TV.  Remove DTVN from your cloud.  Restart Fire TV.  Download DTVN app.  That's it.  All devices stream the exact same local stations.  Baltimore Station, Oh well ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.   Still better service than Comcast.

Hey Jam,

yes, i did try to uninstall and reinstall.  Problem still exist.  Here's an update as of this morning.  My Roku devices are able to stream Baltimore channels.  But now my Fire TV has the location error.  I read FTV has a setting for zipcode and I'm going to blank it out.

Update:

Same problem happened again.  This time my Roku & Laptop devices started streaming Washington, DC local stations. Great!! Awesome.  I never could follow Baltimore local news.  Besides I'm closer to Washington, DC than Baltimore.  So thank you DTVN & AT&T.  I did had to remove and reinstall DTVN on my FireTV.  Small price to pay.
