Issues with AT&T TV NOW on your PC?
Disable Your Antivirus and Firewalls
Every virus scanner and firewall is different. Usually, you can locate the program in the taskbar and right click to disable it.
Clear Cookies and Cache data
While cookies and cache help make your Web surfing and streaming experience a little better and quicker, sometimes they also bog things down. One of the most common ways to freshen up your browser is by clearing the browsing data, such as cookies, cache, and history.
Launch your Web browser.
Press Ctrl+Shift+Delete.
Select the items you'd like to clear from the browsing including your cache and cookies.
Select the Delete or Clear button, depending on your browser type.
Close and re-start your browser and try streaming again.
Disable Add-Ons
Chrome - Go to Settings then extensions. A list will appear which check boxes to the right.
We recommend disabling all add-ons
Streaming Issues
Test hardwired. Disconnect all the devices from your internet connection besides the one.
Move devices away that can cause interference.
Here are more things to try to improve your connection.

I can stream anything from DTV Now on my Windows 8.1 tablet but...
All LIVE channel from Guide got stuck at that purple line in the middle of the screen,
except ABC and NBC channel?!?
Yes, I can watch only ABC, NBC and video on demand things on Windows 7.
Anyone got the same problem?

I posted my experiences with Edge and windows 10 but they felt the need to edit and remove what I posted as to how I got it working.
It flat out will not work on Edge, nor is there a win 10 app. Internet Explorer 11 or Chrome at this point only.
On windows 10, Internet Explorer is actually still installed and it does work on that .
To start IE11, type "C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe" from a run box or commmand prompt as it's hidden to promote Edge. You will probably have to install silverlight.
Or you could install Chrome.

Clearing the cache on my Chrome browser was the ticket to viewing success for LIVE channels! Thank you. However, no one should ever have to stop their anti-virus or firewall as a "solution" as that would open them up to attacks. Looking forward to receiving my Apple-TV and getting started on my big screen TV.

Clearing the cache in Chrome on my Windows 10 PC fixed the issue with not being able to view LIVE channels. I'm up and running now after my initial frustration.

there is inherent BAD PROGRAMMING in the browser interface for DIRECTTV NOW ...
below is what the Chrome Debugger says ... my streaming lasts for 10 to 40 seconds and then pauses ... it is NOT my Internet connection or my browser ... it IS in the code for the browser interface ...

Or click on the three dots in the upper right corner of the Edge browser and look for the "run as IE11".

OK. Just stop streaming. There is no app installed on your computer. You use a browser to go to a website to watch content. Nothing you have to do outside of exiting the site.
