At&t tv now won't allow DVR recording

Suddenly there are some channels and\or shows (TVLand, etc) IN MY PACKAGE in AT&T TvNow, that no longer allow to be DVR'd. Instead they say subscribe. I DO subscribe, they are party of my package. What is going on now?

Hi @MountainDawgs,

There are some shows and networks where the broadcasters do not give rights to record that show. I don't think any on TVLand fall under that. How are you trying to setup your show recordings. Are you going through the guide or through the search? What show do you notice this error on?

Try testing on another device to see if you can setup the recording. If it does, you may need to reboot the other device or clear the cache and cookies.

I've tried both recording on both my tv app AND my Android app. One (silly) example... Some episodes of Two and a Half men on IFC are available to DVR, others say I must "subscribe". I've seen this on TV Land, CBS Sports and a few other channels. It JUST started happening over the past couple of weeks. It always says I must subscribe! I CAN record them IF it is IN PROGRESS, but will not allow prior to airing. It happens to channels I DO subscribe to.

Hey, @MountainDawgs!

Thanks for providing more details. We understand the importance of having an option to record your favorite shows but not all content is recordable per content provider rights.

If there is not a Record (REC) button, the programming is not recordable. If the content is not recordable, it may be available on On-demand. You can search for the program on On-demand and add it to your Bookmark or Watch Now, if available.
