Can't get HBOMax via DirectTV on my TV
HBOMax is included on my DirectTV/AT&T plan,
I can get HBOMax on my PC (Edge browser) by signing in with my AT&T login/pwd.
But I can't get HBOMax my TV via DirecTV.
All the AT&T instructions reference the "HBOMax" App, but my DirectTV has NO such app.
(Instructions also say you can launch HBOMax via Channels 190 or 500, but those channels are not available.)
Is it possible to watch HBOMax via DirectTV?
My Sony Android TV is running version 8.0.

The following devices are supported by HBO Max. If a device is supported, you'll find the HBO Max app in the app store.

But I didn't ask a "device" question. Yes, I know I can get get HBO Max on my TV (Android 8.0), for the usual subscription fee of $14.99/month.
Not what I want.
My question is about viewing HBO Max on DirectTV. Not on my PC, which I can do: on my TV via DirecTV.
Per the info on the AT&T site, I should be able to. But there is no HBOMax App on DirectTV, though the info says there ought to be.

No, there is no HBOMax app available to Amazon Fire devices. If you look at the list provided in Post#2 above, Amazon Fire (TV/Tablets) is NOT listed as compatible.
Time Warner Media (owners of HBOMax) have not come to an agreement with Amazon to provide access to HBOMax.
