Remove DIRECTV SET-TOP BOX from phone

Thank you for reaching back out.  Please look in your Application manager for anything with remote in the title.  It could also be under Peel Smart Remote.  Once you find it, you will not be able to uninstall it but you can disable it.

Thanks! No more annoying DirecTV popup on my lock screen.

I had this too & assumed it was a DirecTV app because it said "DirecTV Set-Top Box."  Turns out it's an app called Peel Remote.  Uninstall it & life is good again.

I removed the Peel remote app and it went away from lock screen

Go into Settings -- Applications --Application Manager and DISABLE the Peel Remote Device. Apparrently it comes with the phone and can not be uninstalled, but did uninstall itself after I disabled it. That's how I just removed that irritating pop up from the permanent location that covered anything at the bottom of my Samsung Galaxy phone. How annoying to have it place itself there! I don't understand how something I never had before suddenly installs itself as I slept. Very aggravating! Good luck. I hope this helps you.

The set-top box is through peel remote . Go to apps and disable peel remote.  That should remove the icon from your screen.  John

I found that by disabling  the peel remote app solves the problem.  When your in apps look  for peel remote.   John
