Remove DIRECTV SET-TOP BOX from phone

How do I get rid of the remote control pop-up from my Samsung Android? It just started appearing last week; I did not ask for it and do not want it.

It is labeled DIRECTV SET-TOP BOX by Homebase.

Search your apps for the samsung peel remote.  From there go to the app's settings.  Turn off the lock screen widgets.  This should clear it out.  Worked for me on my galaxy 6.

There are no apps for AT&T or DirecTV in my Samsung's Applications Manager or Applications list.

Where would I click to find the apps?

Good Morning @warhick1962,

Thank you for bringing this to our attention! I can certainly understand how important it is to get this taken care of. Let's get started with some great steps!

You mentioned checking into your device application manager to delete the applications. This is definitely the best step to take in this case. When you attempted to clear the cache and data, did you go into your  Settings > Device > Applications > Application Manager >More > Show System Apps > Scroll down to DirecTV?

We also have a great Device Support Center which offers personalized support. After selecting the make and model of your device, a list of tutorials will be created specifically for your device.

I hope this helps out. Please let us know if you have any other questions or concerns, we are always happy to help!
