Problem with youtube!

While on youtube it only streams in 480p and won't let me go any higher! I have 5 bars on 5g on my S22 Ultra. It just spins a circle forever. I have Unlimited Elite.

Do you have unified billing?

I can't recall if the elites plan doesn't give you access to stream saver. But you still have access to data settings.

We'll be happy to assist you with these settings @smartnesskills.

480p is the default setting for YouTube. To adjust the setting, go into the YouTube app, click your icon in the upper-right corner, then go to Settings > Video Quality Preferences. You should then see options for both mobile and Wi-Fi. Select 'Higher video quality (more data usage)' and you should then have higher video quality on videos with that option.

Please let us know if you have any additional questions or concerns.

I had Directv now at one point but, as of now I only have wireless and hbo max from my plan. I have a samsung tab s4 on my unlimited plan. On my account it says Unlimited my way plan.

I already have youtube set to "higher quality" in both wifi and mobile data. And when it is set to auto quality it only streams 480p and when I go into advanced and manually set the resolution to say 1080p or 1440p or even 2160p it just sits there with a spinning circle.

Hi smartnesskills, we are here to help with your YouTube streaming inquiry on your Samsung S22 Ultra device!

Learn how to turn Stream Saver off or on, to let you stream high-definition (HD) video at standard-definition (SD) quality (similar to a DVD, about 480p) on each eligible line. Streaming/video resolution vary, are affected by other factors and restrictions apply.

Manage stream saver by navigating to:

  1. Go to Manage my data usage.
  2. Toggle Stream Saver Off or On (if available for your line).
  3. Select Save.
  4. Wait five minutes and restart the device you updated.

To troubleshoot the error message you're receiving on your account, try switching to a browser if you are logging in with the myAT&T app and clear cookies and cache on your browser settings to reset your online access.

For the spinning circle concern, we recommend reaching out to YouTube support for additional help with their app settings.

We hope this helps, reach back out to us if you have additional questions. Thank you for reaching out to the AT&T Community Forums!

Hello smartnesskills, thanks for the additional information. Let's continue to look into your settings for YouTube streaming.

Try these additional troubleshooting steps to help with your app streaming.

Make sure the line on your Samsung S22 Ultra device is provisioned with the AT&T Unlimited Elite Plan. As the steam saver feature is only included on the AT&T Unlimited Elite Plan since you mentioned that you have the Unlimited My Way Plan.

Let us know if this information helps, and thank you for contacting the AT&T Community Forums.

Did all of the suggestions. Don't see how using safe mode would make a difference on my pc.
