Keeping photos in albums organized by date after transfer with AT&T mobile transfer.

We used AT&T mobile transfer to move photos (and contacts, etc.) from iPhone 5 to Android (moto g7).

All went well, but the photos appear in the Google Photos app as an Album labelled "AT&T Mobile Transfer"

and it has a "cloud" symbol.

When we browse back and find a picture from, say, May 28, 2018, and click on it,

it now shows up in the Google Photos app with today's date and does not show up under

the original date.

Is there a way to import the photo album so that the photos keep their original date?

Hi @ithaca_markb,

Thank you for reaching out to us today. We'll be happy to help you.

The mobile transfer app should keep the original dates associated with pictures and videos. In your photo app, instead of looking at the individual pictures within the album, go to the Pictures tab and see if the original dates are visible there. If not, please let us know and we can proceed from there.

Hello,

I have used this application to move my images from an Note 5 to a Note 20.

It has NOT kept the original create date from the original images.  Now all the images have been updated with the current date!

Now when i go to the Gallery App, i cannot sort them by date since they all have the same date!

How can i keep the original create date when transferred?

Thanks
