Family Map App not Connecting

I purchased a month of Family App and every time I try to “Activate” it I get an error message that says “Oops. Something went wrong? Please try again.”  I’ve restarted the app, deleted and downloaded it again, logged outta and re-logged in to the AppStore, and done a hard reset on my phone but still getting the same message.  How can I get it to work?
