Military discount

When I signed up for direct tv they said there was a military discount and I have received it. Do you know what I need and where I send it to?

Hey @bhogs5113,

We understand you have a question about how to get your discount. Don't worry, we can help with that Learn more about how military discounts work, this page will explain what needs to be done and what you would need to have located at the bottom of the page.

Please let us know if that helps and thank you for choosing AT&T.

Where do you send what? If you are already receiving the military discount on Directv, there is nothing more to do. However, the military discount for Directv was discontinued last year and getting that discount required having an eligible unlimited data wireless plan. When did you sign up and do you have an eligible wireless plan? If you have an eligible wireless plan and you have the military discount applied to that plan, the discount on Directv should be automatic provided the wireless and Direcv accounts are under the same name and address.

@abhogs5113,  wondering what was needed we got you covered!

  • Sign up online with a .mil email address.
  • Sign up at an AT&T store with:
  1. A valid ID or current pay-stub.
  • Spouses of active duty personnel can sign up at an AT&T store with a Department of Defense sponsorship card.

Eligibility: Must provide proof of eligibility. Offer available only in select locations/channels.

  • For internet or video credit, address on wireless bill must match address on video and/or internet bill and primary wireless account holder name must match that of eligible military member or qualified spouse of active duty military service personnel.
  • Customers accepting this offer certify they are permitted to under applicable law. Eligibility is subject to annual re-certifications for Military discount offers.

Hope this helps!
