I have a Nokia Lumia 635 GoPhone with ATT.  I will be abroad this summer when the six months lock period expires, and I'm eligible to submit the unlock request on the ATT website. My question is:  Will the code be enough for me to unlock the phone and use it with a different carrier while I am abroa

I bought a phone from a friend and was told it was unlocked however they are saying it has to be active for 6 months before they will do it but I was told it had been activated but apparently not

I purchased my Galaxy S5 through AT&T and have been using it for 2 years. But I am going to be switching carriers in a few months (can't afford AT&T any more). How do I get the device unlocked so that I can switch carriers? Thanks!
