My Galaxy S7 is on the August update of last year. I've tried taking it to Best Buy to get flashed but they no longer offer that service. It is AT&T unlocked and running on Cricket. Would getting an update be as simple as just inserting an AT&T sim?

I moved my phone (Samsung Galaxy S8 model SM-G950U) off the AT&T network some time ago to T-Mobile. (Sorry AT&T, their prices and deals just put you to shame.)
