Received a Gift Card Code via Text Message

It says I have been credited $16 and gave me a code followed by a link that directs me to the "myAT&T" sign in page, but it won't let me redeem it because goPhones don't go through "myAT&T". I don't get it, why you send me this if I cannot redeem it?
