My phone connects automatically to the 5GHz spectrum, and when it's there, it can't see or talk to my chromecast. When I force the phone into 2.4GHz mode, it works just fine, bu

Compatible wireless routers with AT&T Uverse

Hi, I am presently stuck with the Motorola NVG router which does not support 5GHz wireless, 1 Gbps ethernet, 802.11ac, or (and probably the one thing you can't work around) configurable QoS- stadnard features for modern wireless routers. I was wondering if it was possible to replace my current modem

Arris BGW210-700 WiFi Radios Keep Dropping

Recently, within the last week or so, my Arris BGW210-700 WiFi radios keep dropping.  This disconnects my 2.4ghz  and 5ghz WiFi devices.  To resolve I login to the router with a wired connection and restart both radios.  The WiFi signals were working fine for about a month (new install), no issues.

Switched from a 2-wire to a 1-wire connection

So, I've been having a great deal of trouble with line 2 of my bonded pair.  Five or six techs later, they switched me to a single wire.  I have been paying for 50 MGBS service and now discover that many of my devices don't have the proper wireless card to get 50 MGBS.  So now I have a 2.4 ghz and a

Using 5GHz router/AP with AT&T Arris router

I have a lot of 2.4Ghz intererence in my building and it really impedes traffic on my LAN for things like backups to TimeMachine or other data intensive tasks over the air on my LAN. I get a measly 20Mbps download from the Arris but I would like to have high speed traffic within my LAN. I have once

PACE 5268 -- Wifi Woes with 5GHZ -- Are these boxes junk?

We just got fiber and they installed a new 5268 because of problems we were having with the 5GHZ network disappearing.   Everything has been great for 6 days.   Today I went to use my Fire stick and it could not connect to 5GHZ.   Since the stick was new, I assumed it must be something in the stick.

Does AT&T Uverse support 2.4ghz and 5ghz?

I was looking into getting a Wi-Fi extender and wasn't sure if it would be a good idea to get a dual band Wi-Fi extender or just a normal 2.4ghz. I might just get a dual band extender anyway in case something upgrades later down the road. But being everything runs on Wi-Fi now and some things are cl
