ERROR when trying to unclock Phone

I am trying to unlock my fully paid off iPhone X and the systems is saying that my EMEI number is not associated with ATT. This is extremely frustrating being that the phone is paid off and I should be able to unlock it no problem. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hello, I currently have an iPhone 8 Plus on the next plan. If I buy an iPhone X that is AT&T unlocked, can I switch the SIM cards? And does that mean I have to pay the rate of the iPhone X or do I keep making payments on my iPhone 8 Plus until it is paid off? Thanks.

iphone x -call protect app says my device must be enabled with HD voice to use, but it is

I had an iphone 6+ that call protect was installed on that worked with no issues. I purchased a new iphone x, but when I try to install call protect it tells me that "my device must be enabled with at&t hd voice to use" -so I checked, and it is.  I've rebooted my phone and turned hd voice on and off
