My 89 yo mother has a digital landline. She does not get texts. ATT Customer Service said in order for her to create an account on line they need to text her a code to her phone. They cannot email it. How can we create an account for her so she can fix the number of rings from 4 -6?

I've looked at several videos about this and none show the model controller I have. There are 4 AA type rechargeable batteries in there. I replaced all 4 with 2000 mah 1.2v batteries and the unit still beeps complaining that the battery needs to be replaced.
