In order to get my internet lowered to 40 bucks a month, AT&Ts requirement is to pay the first year in full , 400 bucks. Which would mean 2 months free . Then it is a monthly after that.  It seems like a good deal but to pay that amount in one payment seems like a lot… anyone else do this?

I have 2 xboxs, a tv, and cell phones. I consider it a typical American household.  How can I get service better so it does not lag when my kids are on their xboxs and I am watching tv?  I usually take the phones of WIFI but I don't think I should have to do that.   Any ideas
