TV Picture fades out to black

My Samsung TV worked fine when I turned it off last night. This morning it comes on to a black screen with QLED letters, goes on to the TV channel and within seconds fades away to a black screen for several seconds and then repeats this pattern continually. Uverse and Internet issues
