Where to enter unlock code?

I requested and received an unlock code from At&T for a Samsung Galaxy S7. I put a Verizon sim card in the phone, but did not receive a prompt to enter an unlock code when I turned the phone on. I tried to enter the unlock code in the phone dialer, as directed in the instructions I received from ATT to use #0111*unlocknumber# but keep getting a message that only emergency calls are permitted. How do I submit this unlock code?

Hello, @whatachick,

Thank you for reaching out. Once you have the unlock code, you should be able to use that to unlock your device. Try this:

  1. Completely power your Galaxy S7 off.
  2. Remove the AT&T SIM card.
  3. Insert the new SIM card.
  4. Power the Galaxy S7 back up.
  5. When the device prompts, provide the unlock code.
  6. Complete the process by following the prompts.

If this doesn't help, please let us know.

I am also unlocking a Samsung phone and did as you suggest but it tells me the unlock code is invalid. Any help?
