What should I do next?

I recently purchased a new phone which appears to be functioning normally except for one major issue - I cannot receive text messages. Although I am able to make calls, send texts, and connect to various networks including WiFi and Bluetooth, I have not received any texts, despite my husband sending multiple test messages throughout the evening. I have attempted all available diagnostic suggestions on both the ATT website and the Device Help app, but none of them have successfully resolved this problem. I am now seeking further assistance to address this issue. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

This is a customer populated community. Our advice is to exchange your new and defective device as soon as possible. You have a 14-day return window on new devices after which you would be forced to make a warranty claim

@formerlyknownas Not sure why this thread got bumped but the OP was March 3. They are way past the 14 day return period. Presuming it’s a faulty phone, warranty would be the path. However, the OP could also be a new customer with a ported number. Not receiving texts after a number port seems to happen often.
