Using boost sim in at&t phone

Now that boost is running on the AT&T network would it possible for me use a boost chip running on the AT&T network in an AT&T lock device? I have a Samsung note 10 that I bought from amazon it was supposed to come as an unlocked device however it is still tethered to the AT&T network as in was never actually unlocked. i have checked the imei and made sure it was not blacklisted i also called in to AT&T customer service to ensure there was no past due balance on the phone was told me it was all clear however for some reason no one has been able to unlock it, I have tried the official AT&T unlock portal all the way to Ebay and third party websites to no avail. I want to avoid activating it on AT&T as I'm not made of money and boost gives me more for less. So would it be possible or do I have no other choice but to keep it locked up in AT&T phone jail?

An ATT locked phone can be used on any MVNO that uses ATT’s network so if Boost is truly now using ATT’s network, a Boost sim should work.

I should also add the AT&T unlock portal has said in progress for about two weeks no feedback, no updates. I realize that sometimes it may take more than the 48 hours that are stated but it seems when it works for most people it's usually a lot quicker than that, on the other end from what i could find if it's taking this long it's not going to happen.

Let us take a look into getting your Samsung 10 unlocked @Jsledge456.

You can request for an Unlock code from AT&T.

  1. Go to att.com/deviceunlock
  2. Select Unlock a device from "Device Unlock help > Read support article Unlock a device."
  3. Under Looking for more info? select Get info about device unlock eligibility. Here you can find specific information for your device, and you will see all of the requirements to unlock your device in this article.
  4. AT&T customers enter account information. Non-customers enter contact information.
  5. Confirm the information and submit the request.

Hope that helps out! If you’re needing a new SIM card to complete the unlock, you can go into any AT&T Corporate store location for one free of charge.

Please let us know if you have any more questions or concerns. Have a wonderful weekend!

Your locked ATT phone will work on any provider network that utilizes ATT towers.

(Consumer Cellular - Mint Mobile - MNVO - Cricket - Boost - Boost Infinite - Straight Talk -A few others )

Just google “cell providers that use ATT towers”. Depending how new your phone is (iPhone 14/sim locked by ATT)… I used E-SIM to set up service with boost infinite $25 monthly and have the same coverage with ATT paying over $100 monthly.

Your welcome 🙏🏻

ummmm, Mint does NOT use AT&T.   Mint is 100% T mobile.
