Update now no phone

Samsung S22 Ultra had an update yesterday. I now can't access voicemail. If I make  a call, I have no way to hang up as keypad disappears and side button will not work. If I don’t answer phone in first few seconds I can't tell who is calling as it disappears from screen. Some of my screens are now faded black and white and I can't charge. Have restarted,  force stopped phone app, no help.

We would appreciate it if you could provide us with some additional information, so we can understand the situation and assist you better.

a) Do you have any third-party apps installed on the device?

I have tried the troubleshooting help to no avail. I have apps installed on the phone. My phone is a Samsung S22 Ultra and the issues started with the update that happened on 11-21-23.

Have you called Samsung? All AT&T does is push the update once it's been verified.

Hello @Travlingman, thank you for responding to us.

Since the troubleshooting steps have not worked, this is leaning towards a device issue on a software level. We recommend you contact Samsung technical support to report this software bug. They will be better equipped to assist you with this moving forward.

Ottopylot.

It has something to do with the update from AT&T as it hasn't affected any other service provider.

Is this the Android 14, One UI 6 update?

Seems to be an issue that is not that uncommon from the reddit posts about it.

While this didn't work for everyone, some have tried turning the phone off, remove the SIM card. Turn phone back on without it, then reinsert the SIM with it on.

Can't hurt to try it.

Tried Sim card and other ways suggested. Went to an AT&T store and they said they could factory reset and maybe fix but I would loose all apps, etc on phone and couldn't guarantee it would work. Asked what AT&T said and they said, "AT&T doesn't have a fix and it is my problem not theirs. " Have tried online as I can't call and they will look into it. Samsung says it is an AT&T problem. What great customer service.

Hey @Travlingman,

We understand how important is to be connected.

We have checked for all possibilities, and it seems that the best solution is to wait for a stable software update, or replace the sim card. You can refer to the Samsung community post for more information and troubleshooting steps for this issue.

I will try a different store and see if they will replace the sim card.
