Unlock

Have a galaxy s8+ that I bought from someone but it’s on a 6 months contract the device is saying that I need a network unlock code. Can anyone help me with that?

Hey there @C.harris!


Thanks for reaching out regarding the Galaxy S8+.  This is such a great phone, and I hope you enjoy using it.  I would be happy to assist with the network unlock code.


If you are planning on using the device with another carrier, then we would need to place a request for unlock.  This would make the phone able to accept another service’s SIM card.  I have awesome news; this can all be online!


Please check out our Device Unlock Portal.  If you do not have an AT&T account, go ahead and select “No” when it asks customer type.  You will then need the phone’s IMEI, and your email address.

           

The Portal will send you a confirmation message, which includes a link.  This will need to be clicked on within 24 hours so it will activate the request.  Once this is in process, the Portal will run the checks on the device.  You should receive the final steps within 72 business hours.
