We'd be happy to walk you through how to access the device unlock information on your smartphone @olinrich.

  • Launch myAT&T app, search Unlock.
  • Select the Unlock your AT&T Wireless Phone or Tablet support article.
  • This provides you with an explanation of the device unlock process, as well as some links to get started with your request.

It is a different process used if you need to use your home computer or laptop to access the device unlock information. To access the device unlock from your computer:

  • Select I want to  > Get help & support > Unlock a device.
  • Select Unlock Device troubleshooting topic.
  • This provides you with an explanation of the device unlock process, as well as some links to get started with your request.

You can check the status of your device unlock on the AT&T device unlock website. We do understand that 24 hours has passed since you have received your code. The number of attempts to unlock the device varies by manufacturer and model. For details, you can review the device unlock instructions.

Please let us know if the information we shared with you here has been helpful for you.

Hello @olinrich, we want to help you with getting your device unlocked.

Before we continue, we'd like to gather additional details and confirm that you've met the following device unlock requirements:

  • Your device is an AT&T phone or device and isn’t active on another AT&T account.
  • Was paid in full when you bought it (not on an installment plan). You won’t have to wait 60 days to unlock it.
  • Has a paid-off installment plan.
    • Paid through your monthly bill: Submit your unlock request at the start of your next bill period.
    • Paid off early: The wireless number assigned to the device must be active for at least 60 days. Wait 48 hours after you make your final payment to submit your unlock request.
  • Doesn’t have a past-due account balance. Make a payment to bring your account current. It will take 24 hours for your payment to post.
  • Hasn’t been reported as lost, stolen, or involved with fraud.
  • Your device is an AT&T PREPAID phone that has had paid service for at least six months.

Also, we'd like to gather more information from you to better assist:

  • What's the make and model of your device?
  • Did you attempt to unlock your device using our online device unlock portal?

Be advised, you'll need to make sure that your device is listed on our approved network list. If you're unable to locate your device, this means your device isn't eligible for unlock. Feel free to reach back out to us and provide us with the following information so that we can investigate your concerns further.

Thanks for contacting the AT&T Community for help!

I've just obtained a non-ATT sim card to perform my unlock. However, more that 24 hours have passed since I got my code.

Since I've already tried 4 times, I want to be sure it will work now
